Default example: 3 years of service, TRY 100,000 gross, employer ends the contract
Statutory minimums under Articles 17 to 21 of the Labour Law and Article 14 of Law No. 1475, with the severance cap of TRY 73,729.87 for last days from 1 July 2026 and TRY 64,948.77 for the first half of 2026. Amounts are gross; notice pay is subject to income and stamp tax, severance to stamp tax only. Contractual notice periods, collective agreements and bonuses are not modelled. This is a first indication, not legal advice.
Which rules does it use?
Notice of 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks by length of service, paid as monthly pay divided by 30 per day. Severance after one year of service at 30 days of the last gross pay including regular benefits, capped per year of service, pro rata for the remaining days, due on an employer termination without just cause, an employee termination for just cause and in a mutual termination agreement as the usual starting point. Unused leave at the daily gross pay. For employers with 30 or more employees the tool adds the reinstatement exposure of 4 to 8 months' pay plus up to 4 months' idle pay under Article 21. The rules are explained in the employment law chapter.
