Crypto asset service provider licence in Turkey
Authorisation path for crypto asset trading platforms and custodians under Capital Markets Board rules.

No full operating licences had been reported as granted by October 2026, and authorisation deadlines are suspended. Foreign platforms may not target Turkish residents without authorisation.

Where does licensing stand in 2026?
Pending lawyer reviewThe regime is new and still settling. Existing providers operate on a temporary list that is not an authorisation. That list held 43 platforms in August 2026, down from 46 earlier in the month. Establishment permits are being issued, and an operating licence application must follow within six months of the permit. In March 2026 the Board suspended the deadlines for custody agreements and authorisation until authorised custodians are widely available. Using crypto assets as a means of payment remains prohibited.
