Editorial policy
How the figures and legal statements on this site are sourced, dated and reviewed.
Where do our figures come from?
Official sources come first: the investment office, the Ministry of Labour, the central bank, the Capital Markets Board and the Official Gazette. Where an official source is not available in usable form we use publications of major audit and law firms, and say so. Estimates, such as local set-up costs and timelines, are labelled as published estimates.
How do we keep pages current?
- Every page shows the date its figures were last verified
- Figures that reset every year, such as minimum wage, licence capital and court fees, are re-checked each January and when a mid-year change is announced
- Fast-moving topics, such as crypto licensing status, are re-checked monthly
- Exchange rates in the calculator use the central bank's indicative rate and show its date
Who reviews legal content?
Legal statements are reviewed by a lawyer admitted to a Turkish bar before publication. Sections still awaiting that review carry a "Pending lawyer review" label. The reviewer's name and bar registration will be shown on each page once confirmed.
What this site is not
The site gives general information, not legal advice for your situation. If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it and update the verification date.
